Maidenhead Archers promote and practice Archery as a leisure and competitive sport. We welcome experienced archers to the club and offer support and encouragement to beginners and novices.
Spring & summer time: On Wednesday evenings starting at 6:00 pm and Sunday afternoons at 1.00 pm.
Autumn & winter time: On Sunday afternoons at 1.00 pm.
From October to March we also shoot indoors on Friday evenings, together with other local clubs, at the Windsor Leisure Centre. Start time 8.00 pm.
Competitions.
As a club we encourage members to attend the open shoots with local clubs as and when they occur, while the Club Championship shoot is held in October.
Each year the club enters the winter postal leagues for an indoor Portsmouth round and an outdoor frostbite round. The Portsmouth is shot on the second Friday of the month, and the Frostbite shot on the second Sunday of the month, both from November to March.
Have-A-Go.
Each year we run a Have-A-Go session on the Sunday before the May Day bank holiday, full details are advertised in the local Press nearer the date.
Beginners' course.
Run on a Wednesday evening, usually starting the second Wednesday following the Have-A-Go. The course runs for six weeks and costs £35.00.
The club requires that a parent or guardian accompany all juniors.
The annual club membership fee is shown below but if you join the club immediately following your beginners' course you will then be covered through until the 1st of September in the following year.
Club Subscriptions 2007/2008:
Subscriptions for current members are payable on 1st September annually.
Members joining (Maidenhead Archers/GNAS) after 1st May in the current year pay the above subscriptions, but will then be covered through until the 1st of September in the following year.
