A lovely afternoon for the club to celebrate the 604th anniversary of the battle of Agincourt . We have a 4 inch square post (wand) in the ground 140yds away with a ring drawn in the ground around the post. Amazingly, 2 of our members hit the wand 5 times and the ring 4 times in 36 arrows!
August “Have-a-go” Day
Our August “Have-a-go” day was enjoyed by all and the cake stall was an added bonus.
Windsor at Windsor Competition
Four members of the club competed at the Windsor Forest Bowmen meet (a Windsor round) where they achieved a gold, a silver and 2 raffle prize wins. A good day was had by all.
Fun Shoot – Southern Rail
Half the fun of the fun shoot is that the rules are only half explained beforehand – there is always a twist at the end. For example this time the theme was Southern Rail and we scored a 5 point system – gold = 5 to white = 1. However that was completely disregarded as the winner ended up as the person to hit the most travellers
2019 – First Shoot of the Year
Happy New Year to all.
A good turn out for the first Sunday shoot of 2019
Crowthorne Indoor Shoot
Some of our club went to the Berkshire Indoor Championship at Crowthorne. 5 dozen arrows at 20 yards and we had some really good results
Abbey Wand Shoot (aka waffle shoot)
Seven members of Maidenhead Archers went to St Albans to try and hit a 4inch square post in the ground 120 yards or 140 yards away. Part of the enjoyment of this competition is meeting up at the Waffle shop for breakfast!
