About Maidenhead Archers

As a Target Archery Club, Maidenhead Archers promote and practice  Archery as a leisure and competitive sport. We welcome new, returning and experienced archers.  We formed in 1952 and have been through many changes.  For a more complete history click here.

Who owns Maidenhead Archers?

We are a non profit making club, owned by the membership.  None of us make any profit from activities such as beginners courses and have-a-go.  All funds go to running the club, buying equipment and funding competitions.

Where and when we shoot

We Shoot in the Braywick Sports Ground, Maidenhead, Berkshire SL6 1BN. see map here

All year round, we meet on Sunday afternoons at the Braywick sports Ground from 1pm.  During spring and summer, we also shoot outdoors on Wednesday evenings from 6pm.  In Autumn & Winter we move indoors on Wednesdays and shoot with WAMDSAD and also at the Windsor Leisure Centre on Friday Evenings.  

Coaching Classes

We offer beginner’s archery lessons during the summer months on Wednesday evenings.  We also have a qualified coaches to help improve your technique.  Classes normally last for four weeks, plus two additional weeks to decide if you want to join the club.
